@ HiFinthen, ever since I was a child, 'In the Ghetto' has been one of my favourite songs. And he wrote it. I respect his integrity, however misguided. I believe that like JB, Elvis meant everything he uttered.

His sincerety lent him his timeless quality. He will always be the King.

The album "Nuggets 16 Killer Nuggets Of Funk", a compilation of literally global Funk. Right now Marva Broom's "Mystifying Mama" is playing. The sound quality is impressive...

Agreed, and "In The Ghetto" was the first rememberable music recording I had purchaced as a 45, of course (era '69)lol
 
A true profesional performer of inspirational storytelling when at his best, then, moreso not so much til selfdestruction; Again, the early death of another not unlike all too many of the arts genius(s) , sadly .  .  .
