Jazz Gazz's "Drive Through" followed by Trio Peter Beets' "Let's Go" from the "Headphone Acoustics Reference CD for Philips" in order to test a new set up: CD690 + Sansui AU-217 I + K240 DF. Now the Pioneer was an improvement but this bottom of the line Sansui is more powerful and more impressive. The low end and clarity improved considerably although first impressions are usually tricky so more testing is required.

P.S. One step closer to the vinyl set up...

Update: Massive Attack's "Angel" from the album "Mezzanine" just finished, the sub bass on the DF in this set up substantially improved without extra settings like bass or loudness.
