The Bad Plus Live @ The Village Vanguard

Most jazz folk know this already, but if you don't, NPR has a page dedicated to jazz, and off that a page of live performances at the VV. Some artists give permission to make the live sets available as a download. This is one of them - currently, you can also get sets from Jason Moran, Greg Osby, Bill McHenry and David Sanchez. The recordings aren't made available as lossless files, unfortunately, but the 192 kbps mp3s are...ok, and the music is pretty much wonderful.

Procol Harum's "A Christmas Camel" from their self titled album. These guys were way ahead of their time, these guys could compose and write lyrics like no other.

"Switched On Bach" is on the short list...

Set up: CD690 + SA-530 + K240 DF (Raised treble on the SA-530, integrated system are handy.)

P.S. "Kaleidoscope" just finished, eargasmic organ work for a Pop/Rock-track. I will finish with "Repent Walpurgis". Procol Harum...
