I developed my love for hard rock during the 70's. That said, even then I was open to other genres. In the mid to late 70's I was dating a woman who attended a small college in the piney woods of East Texas. I would go down many a weekend to spend time with Charlotte, who loved, loved, loved Little Feat and would sing along with their music. She introduced me to LF. We would drive around in the woods for hours singing to their cassettes. One of the few bands I never got to see live but I own all their music on original vinyl and still listen (and sing along) to them plenty even today. Though I'm sure I sing no better today than back then! Lol. What a great band.'Waiting For Columbus' was a great double-live album that came out when they were at their most popular, which unfortunately wasn't very. They also toured loads in support slots and as headliners. If their leader Lowell George hadn't died so young, they would have been a lot bigger and better known. I loved me some Little Feat - they were most popular in their home of LA, and in Washington, DC, where they were championed by WHFS radio from the beginning.
