Here is how "The Long and Winding Road" sounds w/o the Phil Spector stuff ...

The end of The Beatles. "Let It Be" came out great, despite the utter chaos
shown in the documentary "Get Back." Phil Spector did ruin some songs,
including "The Long and Winding Road" and "Across the Universe," with his
wall of fake sound. Abbey Road is, IMO, their finest work especially Side 2
with the continuity. It's also cool that the best two songs on Abbey Road
were written by George Harrison. Take that, Lennon/McCartney. HD800 = :)
