A China Mieville fan or just like the quote??
Fan - very much so. Of the fiction - I’m pretty apolitical, so I haven’t read any of his non-fiction. That quote is from one of the short stories in Three Moments of an Explosion, which I read because I’ve basically read all the novels. Perdido Street might be my all time favorite - it’s certainly on the list. You a fan too?

Yes I most certainly am, and I've read everything by him except 'King Rat'. Been to a few of his book-readings and signings in San Francisco, too - a really cool guy and he looks like somebody you'd want on your side in a fight! He signed my edition of 'Perdido Street' by writing backwards, "Play safe, use mirrors".... I thought they did a pretty good job of the mini-series version of 'The City and The City'.... I hope he's got something new in the works!

Excellent piece of music and the best series that Netflix has put out in a while.
It was surprisingly good, all things considered. Obviously targeting a younger audience but still fun nonetheless!

To me that was part of what made it great. I am pretty sure that they weren't aiming for the 62yr old male demographic, but I binged it. :relaxed:

Marcus Miller - Tutu Revisited (Cd1).jpg

Originally written by Marcus and Miles Davis and performed in 1986, as
Miles was converting to fusion, this is the renewal of the music in 2011.
The music was in honor of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. The talented
Christian Scott replaces Miles on trumpet, Alex Han is on reeds. Thanks
to @Pietro Cozzi Tinin for introducing me to this music! HD800 ===> :)
