Started listening during lunch. Love Mr Water's solo work. Well-recorded and thought provoking.

I forget how fantastic this masterpiece sounds. Epic, smooth and elegant all at the same time.

The Thelonious Monk Quartet with John Coltrane - Live at Carnegie Hall.jpg
Recorded in 1957 but not discovered until 2005 at the Library of Congress,
purely by luck. Then the accolades started flowing ...

John Coltrane - Blue Train (24-192).jpg
Also recorded in 1957 when John was a member of The Thelonious Monk
quartet, but using his own band ... his last true hard bop studio album and
also the last with the Blue Note label.
