Giving this one a critical listen. EL-P is one of the more interesting figures in hip-hop. He takes the attitude from rapcore and fuses it with simple but effective hip-hop beats. Not to mention his lyricism is nothing to sleep on. People always cite figures like Aesop Rock when talking about lyricism in "underground" hip-hop, but I think recent EL-P has better economy of words and tighter flows which makes him easier to get into, even if his lyrics won't be grasped by your average 6ix9ine fan.
