Listened to Charlie Haden and Brad Mehldau through my iPhone while being on a snow shoe hike in the Swiss Alps. Crappy iPhone sound, but I liked the music, and the hike was fantastic!

Seemed a logical transition and sure enough - the bands are very similar.
This is the Eagle's third studio album, released in 1974. Love the SoCal country/rock!

The hike was in the central part of Switzerland. The hike started from the Niederbauen and went up to the Niederbauen Kulm (coordinates 46.9477 N/8.5570 E). It was pretty steep, at occasions there were nasty snow cornices to overcome, but once on the plateau leading to the summit, it was miraculous. Unfortunately, there was fog, so the Lake Lucerne was covered. The view from the top onto the lake is breathtaking, as the rocks precipitate 2000 metres straight towards the lake.

I had to drive home the same day for an evening meeting, but I took a nice sip of the local cider at one of the huts, in full sunshine!

My apologies for being off-topic, but I did listen to some nice music!
