One of the quirkiest albums I've had the pleasure of listening to. Plenty of interesting and layered audioscapes featuring many notables including Suzanne Vega, David Hidalgo (Los Lobos), Lisa Germano, M. Doughty (Soul Coughing) and Sheryl Crow. A must-listen for any fan of eclectic rock!

Is this album any good? I just found the SACD new in wrap for like 5 bucks locally.

To be honest, I don't get Dire Straits. Sure the recordings are good and the music is very professional. But it sounds to me like every song is exactly the same. I am not into lyrics much but as far as the melodies and arrangements goes it seems identical.

I would say the album is great .heck if I am listening to it I must like it .

Diversity on this album? Yeah .you bet . you'll just have to give it a shot .
I truly love the audio quality most of all though. So fun to put on a hi end rig.
