You a Soul Coughing fan as well? Much better than Mike's solo output IMO. I think the other band members were a useful curb on his rampant ego and the music was better for it (and before he got clean!) All Coughing albums are good, but Ruby Vroom is the cream of the crop.
Thanks, i'll check out those albums. Other than knowing about his drug habit I do not know anything of him. I really do like this album though.

Travels is Pat Metheny Group's first live album, released in 1983 on ECM Records. An audiophile gem with a breathtaking compilation of songs.
