I'm sold on the Gardiner Bach Cantata series. This is number 2, but was actually the 24th recorded during the 2000 Cantata pilgrimage that Gardiner made.
 
 I've got 4 so far, most have two CDs per set. I don't have the patience to spend a lot of time studying the libretto, and am not religiously inclined. But, I find the music utterly absorbing and beautiful.
