I found this gem on All Music Considered (NPR). This is doom metal from the ashes of the late 80's grunge act, Tad. And, to my ears it rules!

I went and bought the CD, the mastering or conversion is noticeably better than the Spotify Premium 320kbps. This is with it ripped by EAC to FLAC then converted in Foobar to 410kbps OGG Vorbis (Q9.5). I don't believe the extra 90kbps is making the difference but the actual conversion provided to Spotify has clipping.
