Blu-ray audio 24/192 shockingly great

Ahhh... craptastic. Now I have to order this, along with Breakfast; both favorites of mine and I was curious how good the mastering was on the BD versions.

Wovenhand-one of the year's best rock albums IMO

She appeals to a lot of folks across genres. I have a very small amount of "pop". The bulk of my music falls into rock, metal, folk/singer songwriters, alternative/post punk and classic 50's-60's jazz. FKA Twiggs has a kind of experimental, electronic, indie appeal that I find quite compelling-very sensual.

I love lists. This is just silliness on my part, but currently my favorite non-metal albums last year would probably look something like-not in any particular order except for Swans which is my favorite album of the year-but I have a strong bias towards Swans and their influence on a lot of music I like.....

1. Swans (by a mile)
2. Ben Frost
2. War on Drugs
3. Scott Walker and Sun0))-Soused
4. Wovenhand
5. Grouper
6. Sun Kil Moon
7.Saint Vincent
8. FKA Twiggs
9. Beck
10. Joe Henry

FKA Twiggs is just so different than everything else on my list. It's sexy, lush sounding music

With honorable mention going to Pat Metheny, Giant Squid, Luluc, Spoon, Sharon Van Etten, Cloud Nothings and the Menzingers. Haven't heard Robert Plant's album, but I'll bet it's really good. Pink Floyd didn't quite make the cut. I would also  have to put Opeth on the list, but I can cheat and categorize them under metal-even though they've turned into the best death metal turned 70s prog band I know of

Hmmm....a lot of singer songwriters....while 2013 for me had some really great electronic music...the beat goes on and on

Very nice albums. Another Park, Another Sunday from that Doobie album is one of fav song. My fav Supertramp album followed by Breakfast.

Eyes of Silver and Blackwater are excellent as well.
Dreamer might be one of the best sounding hi res cut on any album I own.

The mastering on Crime of the Century is even better than Breakfast in America (I own both the vinyl and CD versions as well), I am awestruck with both Blu-ray's

This. Scotland has a couple of other redeeming qualities in addition to single malts - Cocteau Twins being one of them.
