What Are You Listening To Right Now?

  On a little r-n binge?
I have that Emptyset sitting and waiting, but haven't listened to it quite yet. I expect it to be good, but is it a repeated listening affair, you think?

I wouldn't call it a binge, since I don't actually have that much raster-norton material. I've got stuff from Kangding Ray, Atom, AOKI Takamasa, NHK, Byetone, all the Alva Noto + Ryuchi Sakamoto collabs, and both Emptyset EPs, but that's about it. With regards to Emptyset - Recur; No, I don't think it's something I could repeatedly have a go on. It's a great study in space and texture, but that's what it is to me - a study. Not something I could ever "sink" into, since it demands concentration, and can be (for me) fatiguing as a result. Hope this helps.

On topic;

+1 on how?! I know there are 4 tracks from the new album on Spotify as singles...

It's out there, and not too hard to find.  I don't use Spotify so I'm not sure what can be found there.  The full album is available.

1000HP by Godsmack is as hot as the cover. I haven't enjoyed a metal album as much for a long time!

I haven't really enjoyed many metal albums since the first time I saw Motorhead in concert in the 80's. They were so good it kind of ruined the rest of metal for me. I saw Motorhead about 30 years ago, and I've seen almost zero improvement since...

We all know the greatest metal track of all time is Motorhead's "Ace Of Spades"
