One of the absolute greatest records of all time. Also one of the best-sounding albums ever committed to tape.

I agree, i had that on record also - such a great album. It really swings. I'm gone off the free stuff these days and seem to be hooked on groove with jazz music.

I got this great album recently by Dan Nimmer called "yours is my heart alone" - I really like it and listen to it a lot. here is a track from the album, its not really like the Mingus album but maybe its down your street?

London Grammar "If You Wait" (Album)

Heard this once and immediately bought it.  Guess you'd call it electronic, maybe trip-hop.

I am actually listening to the rehearsal for the today's classical concert - 1st movement of the Beethoven's fifth symphony at the moment - live

There will be streaming of the concert live, starting today at 19:30 GMT + 1 hour . Armed with the experience * (see below), today it will be available both on Livestream and Youtube. As with Youtube there *can* be issues regarding author rights ( YT can block streaming in some countries, depending on the legal conditions in force per each respective country ), we chose to go both ways. As Livestream supports the resolution as uploaded by the uploader, we chose lower rez in order for the people watching it on mobile devices to be able to use it. For best sound quality, I strongly suggest Youtube ( please use the highest resolution available, sound quality does not improve above 720p ) - and we can all pray it will not get restricted.

I would specially like to call your attention to the piece by A. Estevez: Mediodía en el llano http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Est%C3%A9vez
http://www.classicalarchives.com/work/187511.html
It is abeautiful piece that rarely gets performed outside of native country, Venezuela ; today, it will be a rare opportunity to hear a Venezuelan conductor ( who was assistant to the recently late Claudio Abbado ) conducting the orchestra bearing the name of my hometown, with young musicians of 19 nationalities playing in it.

I am not sure about the YT version, but Livestream will be available for at least 24 hours after the start of the event, so if you are located in "wrong" part of the globe, you can still watch and listen to it at a time more convinient for you.

The experience with the first Livestream  I provided audio for ( sound quality ) was unsatisfactory, to remain polite about it. However, thanks to the willingness of the
video crew, we put together all"toys" at our disposal to provide the best sound quality on the internet possible with the equipment on hand at the time.

I invite you to spend an evening following an event which is truly a labor of love of all involved. Enjoy !

My definition of experience ( you can quote me on that ) :

Experience is something you get instead of what was originally anticipated.
