Viktoria Tolstoy & Jacob Karlzon - A Moment of Now

If you find yourself thinking, "Tolstoy... Like the writer?", the answer is yes, exactly like the writer. She IS in fact the great-great-granddaughter of Leo Tolstoy. And what a voice she has.

Thelonious Monk Quartet - Monk's Dream

Despite being an avid Monk fan, it's been far too long since I last listened to this particular album. I had forgotten how absolutely brilliant it is!

Tomasz Stańko - Leosia

The atmosphere and mood of this disc can be very deceptive. Despite how understated to music can sound on first impression, the interplay between the musicians is so incredible it's like witnessing a miracle take place right before you.

Iiro Rantala - My History of Jazz

This album tied together by Bach's Goldberg Variations is a true joy for a jazz lover such as myself.

The first and third video are live versions of songs that appear on the album. The last one also features Asja Valcic on cello, who does not appear on the album.
