Yours is no disgrace
Death defying, mutilated armies scatter the earth,
Crawling out of dirty holes, their morals,
Their morals disappear
Yesterday a morning came, a smile upon your face
Caesar's palace, morning glory, silly human, silly human, silly human race,
On a sailing ship to nowhere, leaving any place,
If the summer change to winter, yours is no,
Yours is no disgrace

The circumstances surrounding the creation of The Yes Album were far from auspicious. Original Yes member Peter Banks had left, the group's manager quit (and took a substantial chunk of their money with him), and, the day before the scheduled photo shoot for the album cover, the entire band was in a head-on car crash while returning from a concert. On top of all of that, the sessions were colored by the omnipresent pressure of their record company, which had made it clear that, after the dismal sales of their first two albums, Yes's third release needed to make a substantial commercial impact or the band would likely be released from their contract.
Why so sad on that cover art shoot, guys?
Looks like an interrogation room, after someone bleated out "The dummy was driving, and he ain't saying nothing, until we see our lawyer" LOL

I just have a couple of their albums and once I saw your post .. how ever much I like them ... I haven't listened to any or their music in ages, probably a decade. For whatever reason they didn't even show up once during my global shuffle sessions or walks. Strange, gotta check some settings ...

Anyway ...
Wow, Tasty ! :beerchug:
Don't know if you've heard the one below (playing right now)... some baaaaaad playing on that one, Arturo & the band are killing it, excellent SQ as well, as dynamic as it gets [flac], can't hold my feet still.

One from Elis when she wasn't even 20 years old but already well on her way to become Brazil's #1. (Her London concert from 1969 is one of my most cherished albums.)

Fortunately, replacing Peter Banks with Steve Howe did not hurt their career.....

The Temptations, "Masterpiece". Wonderful drums, and use of instruments. A great album to relax too.
