That...was my first listen to a whole (well, EP) Wall of Voodoo album.

I liked it! Will be listening to their other albums soon.

Still so many great 80's bands/artists to explore more fully!

Speaking of, I'm listening to most of the Big Country albums below for only the 2nd or 3rd time; and a couple for the first time.

Stan Ridgway left Wall of Voodoo after their classic album 'Call of the West' (he wrote and sang pretty much all their stuff while he was there) and began his solo career, with an album called 'The Big Heat' - he put out loads of great records over the decades....

It's A Wonderful Life . Sparklehorse

Sparklehorse is the world of singer / songwriter Mark Linkous. On this record he collaborated with PJ Harvey and Tom Waits. His outlook contradicts the album title. The songs range from the utterly gorgeous to mildly abrasive. It's never really clear what his intent is – exciting and ever changing with repeated listens.

Sadly he shot himself in 2010 aged 47. There seems to be a pattern, that the most beautiful minds have a very hard time in this dark age.
