I have bought more Donald Byrd albums and one is a real departure for me. I love the hard bop from the 50's and early 60's. I am not really into the funky evolution of jazz. However, I am really enjoying the Black Byrd album. Lots of moving parts.

I've been a big fan of Soft Cell and Marc since they started; they're going to be playing here soon, but I'm gonna have to miss it as I'm still not going where there are large gatherings of folks. I thought this new one is very good, though I thought sounded a bit more like a Marc album than a Soft Cell one....

I've seen Jason Pearce and co many a time here in San Francisco, including one show they did that was all acoustic.... Ladies and Gentlemen, we are floating in space....

Yes since him twice in Dublin too - once was a full performance of Ladies and Gentlemen, fantastic gig. Loving this new album too, very reminiscent of earlier days.
