@prof.utonium posting of 'Ooh La La' by Faces got me listening to the band again.
The 1971 album 'A Nod's as Good as a Wink...... to a Blind Horse' is a favourite

Lots of great tracks including 'Stay With Me' , the superb cover of Chuck Berry's 'Memphis' and the brilliant 'Debris' by Ronnie Lane, which was written about his father:

Trombone Shorty - Trombone Shorty - For True.jpg
Wycliffe Gordon - Dreams of New Orleans.jpg
New Orleans brass! These guys are very talented. The album by Pinecone
Gordon is a Chesky binaural recording ... the sound stage is a mile wide.

Nobody plays the trombone like Pinecone Gordon.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll put this one on my list. But if it's ragtime or Dixieland, I won't be able to get through 5 minutes!

I love Dixie, and I love land. I love the land in Dixie but I can't stand Dixieland :D

Maybe you should stick to Trombone Shorty ... his music is as far removed from Dixieland as you can get :)
