What Are You Listening To Right Now?

Grace Slick is a hoot.
I met Grace in the 1990's after she had retired from music. One of my business partners was her neighbor in California and we went to her house. I tried to buy one of her paintings and she laughed and said, "They're not for sale my dear. But come back after I die and I'm sure you can buy one at a grossly inflated price from my estate." I'm still waiting. :)

Jay Bellerose who drums on this album, has been influenced by blues and jazz, and his sound is in part derived from his vintage 1940s Slingerland Rolling Bomber kit which he uses on this album. Bellerose also performs with shakers strapped to his ankles. He uses a shallow 32-inch bass drum.

One of my favourite songs on the album. Bellerose’s drumming & drumset perfectly exemplifies it’s mood setting sound on this song.
