Just out of 95 minutes of live Tab Benoit at the Crescent City Blues and BBQ FESTIVAL. Man this guy can really play. He played a version of For What It’s Worth that was just simply amazing. His guitar work is terrific and the 3 piece trio was power at its best. Concluded with a soaring version of Medicine. In concert, my new favorite guitar god(til tomorrow at least).

Don’t miss him. He’ll be in Asheville NC and McMinnville TN in December. You know who i’m talking to.

The BBQ was great. Brisket, burnt ends, crawfish/pork sausage!! Wonderful blues food. My wife found turkey legs but passed. The looked good too.

We were up front and the closeness to the stage was an added bonus. Also, could go around the side of the stage and had a great view. At the end of the show got to thank him for For What It’s Worth. He asked for requests and he heard my wife’s request for it and she got to thank him as well and he told her he heard her.

Looking forward to today’s show with Allman-Betts Band as the closer.

Cheers

Air from Johann Sebastian Bach's 3rd Orchestral Suites or Ouverture No. 3 in D major, BWV 1068.
AKA "Air on the G String"

Superbly relaxing baroque classic.

BTW it's not a G String on the beach but named so because when it is transposed to C major the entire first violin part can be played on the G string alone.

Edit: added score in the 2nd vid for those interested in what the string quartet is doing.
