Herlin Riley - Cream of the Crescent.jpg
2005 studio album featuring my favorite bone player -- Pinecone Gordon.
Wynton Marsalis on trumpet. Victor Goines on reeds. Uber musicality.
Herlin's rhythms are NO-based; his last job was with Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Herlin Riley - Perpetual Optimism.jpg
2019 studio album with a new bunch of (younger) NYC musicians. Herlin is now age 62.
Add to the NYC sound Herlin's New Orleans rhythms. Snarky, sublime and engaging.

Marcus Miller - A Night in Monte-Carlo.jpg
Before I end this session, needed a Blast from the maestro of the electric bass.
Each time I break-out these cans, I'm amazed by the instrument resolution. LCD-4 ---> :)
