Did you ever program Philadelphia radio back in the day? Because I used to hear your first 3 on there a lot. Nice choices btw.
Now back to our regularly scheduled posting.

Piano jazz quartet ... Allen with guitar, double bass and drums. Up-tempo and complex.
Here, Allen expands the band adding wind instruments and more percussion.
Sounds like the Preservation Hall Jazz Band with emphasis on (Allen's) piano.
Often, a wind instrument will take the lead and be complemented by piano ... cool.
Superb live jazz, all details are revealed. 24/96 FLAC.

Hey GT,
Philadelphia Freedom, .... ah yes.
And im glad you were able to get a contact high.
Me too.
But actually, i never did program in Philly.
I have programmed in the South, however, and im glad you enjoyed the tunes.
How i came to post them today.....is......i was talking to some musicians on the "Harmony Central Forum", and we were talking about Cyndi Lauper, and i recalled the era of FM music that was being played, about
the time her "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" came out.
That was an interesting 6 yrs of music from 81-87, as it was kinda the beginning of the end of Good Tunes, .. The Police broke up, Hair bands came and went, Stevie Ray Vaughn showed up, as did Steve Vai gone solo.
So, i started doing a mental rollodex regarding that time and remembered that The blonde lead singer for The Hooters, produced and wrote a few or helped write a few of Cyndi's hits on that album, so, i posted a Hooter's song here.
Then, i remembered that Pat Travers had like a 6 month run on the radio and so, i posted his other hit.
And the David and David track is one of those gems that meant something at the time. Ive always thought it was a great uncluttered and powerful arrangement of a really fine song, great vocal lead, and always feel its sort of like one of Bruce Springsteen's best songs that he never wrote..... So, i posted it.
