Possibly the worst album cover ever? Considering the label slapped it together before the band was actually finished with recording, it's fitting.

Terrible cover indeed, but such an excellent album IMO.

Gil Evan's first album after his extensive collaboration with Miles Davis. Much less orchestrated, stunningly rhythmic and full of surprises. Also sound-wise, extremely good recording, despite being released in 1960! A great album!

of the beat at times, as is the drumming. The kit has nice presence and great sound.
