Aphrodite's Child - 666. Bloody peculiar stuff from Vangelis and Demis Roussos.

In short, a double album about the Book of Revelation.

I used to be so into that album in the late 1990s. It is some great music but has always seemed a little obscure? You have good taste!

I think they were reasonably successful in their time, but not huge internationally. And the band got completely overshadowed by Vangelis and Roussos' respective solo careers.

I think they may have been more popular in Europe? In the late 80s I worked in record stores and never saw the record. Though maybe for mainstream America it was all in the Bladerunner soundtrack, getting big?

Even after I had the CD "which may be an import?" It was a while till I found the vinyl.

I was into progressive rock at the time and it just fit right in. Such beautiful vocals too!

Interesting to read it came out two years after being made after the band broke up, so no tour.
