A great great alt-country act from my home state.

I've seen them countless times live.

They take the best traits from bands like Son Volt, Forever Goldrush and Wilco and meld it into their own searing TX depressed and distorted 'twang.

Though in comparison to most other alt-country acts ... Slobberbone is decidedly and beautifully rank with it's guitar work and overall tone. Messy in a good way. (see the below youtube reference)

I was so stoked to find this release.

Anyway ... as a parting gesture ... here's a youtube video from one of their shows.

It's terrible sound quality but still manages to capture the wonder and tone that made their shows so great.
