I just came across Stepson via Bandcamp... For those who enjoy 'Hundredth' / hardcore genre and the like, I'm sure you'll enjoy these Aussies as well.

Also, since coming across Stepson, need some "Greater" now...

Listening to the 1999 CD version and really enjoying it, as I always do. I wonder what the 2014 Vinyl release sounds like in comparison? Does anyone have both that give me an idea if the vinyl is worth the extra $$'s

Depends on which vinyl reissue we are talking about specifically – who released it, who mastered it and where it was pressed. I have the two-disc Legacy Edition, which also contains Mingus Dynasty, as well as the ORG (Original Recordings Group) limited edition 45rpm 2LP mastered by Bernie Grundman. Both sound phenomenal. The Legacy Edition was remixed from the original three-track tapes on an original Presto tube tape recorder as well as mastered by Mark Wilder. It is most definitely one of the best-sounding CDs I've ever heard. Along with Music Matters, ORG has been releasing some of the best-sounding vinyl reissues in existence. Any of the albums that are still available are worth seeking out before they are sold out if you are willing to pay premium for the very highest sound quality, and in the case of Music Matters, stunning, thick gatefold jackets with the most impressive print quality I've seen and never before released session photos on the inside in high resolution.
