What Are You Listening To Right Now?

For an album released by an unsigned artist and sent to the radio station by an independent promoter, this is some pretty good music. Elements of folk, alt-rock, alt-country, and dark jam rock all in one album. For a first album the production is pretty good, too, with forty-year studio veteran Ron Flynt at the helm of the recording process.

24k Gold Remastered from original master tapes; w/HD600 (Oyaide HPC-62HDX Headphone Cable), Teac PD-H600 (Burr Brown PCM1796 D/A converter, a 192kHz/24-bit component), HeadAmp GS-1.   Wow !  Slowhand never sounded better; especially track no.6 "The Core".  Man this guy can play.

Katy lies
You could see it in her eyes
But imagine my surprise
When I saw you

Are you with me Doctor Wu
Are you really just a shadow
Of the man that I once knew
She is lovely yes she's sly
And you're an ordinary guy
Has she finally got to you
Can you hear me Doctor

Love this song - Steely Dan are awesome

All Steely Dan albums are great, however Katy Lied is my favorite.

Steely Dan has been my son's favourite (Canadian spelling) band since he was about 13.  He's now 23.  For his 18th BD he asked his mother & I if we could go to Chicago to see SD at the old Chicago Theatre.  So we went : from Ottawa, where we lived at the time to Chicago, to see SD live.  They were outstanding.  He's seen them 4 more times since, on his own.
Yeah, they are truly special.
