I think it's a shame that HDTracks isn't allowed to have it... yet. Or something, wish I knew the dirt!

 And I don't want to see it offered @ 16/44.1 kHz, why bother... at least 24/44.1-48 kHz.

I read an interview with Donald Fagan in Rolling Stone a couple of months ago and saw Steely Dan in concert back in September. He seems like he might be clinically depressed or something. He seems like he would be a "difficult" person. He was almost hostile to the audience. I chalked it up to him being a temperamental artist probably tired of touring. I was super pleased with the concert.  I still love their music. Maybe he is behind what you mention above...
