A modern day rock masterpiece.

Josh Homme and company just keep making fantastic and totally unexpected rock albums (not to mention his work with The Desert Sessions!). They're so far ahead of their time and genre that they most likely don't even realize how significant of a contribution they're making.

Utterly true and worthwhile album.

As an aside:

I remember watching Joey Castillo play drums for a short-lived band called Sugartooth, here in Houston and at a tiny tiny little dive bar called Emos.

They blew the roof off the place.

Me and one other friend sat there, a few feet from the stage, transfixed for an hour. We followed them to Austin for their show there the next night. Sugartooth, Joey Castillo (low rider drum styles!) ... thanks for some fine sounds back in the day!
