Jay Farrar is, without a doubt, one of the most important, substantial and utterly unique voices of all of my Gen X fallout failure brethren.

His time with Wilco not withstanding, his eventual (and truly, inevitable) separation from the same considered ... I must personally admit, ... it was all so that he could become the songsmith and uber lyric slinging GaWd that he has now become.

It had to be.

(And that's just about the utmost and finest compliment that can be applied to any pre 2000/post 2000 scribe/songwriter/prophet persona that I can imagine applying such claim too).

Such a fine, fine voice!

(To any "no depression" folks out there ... I'd highly recommend buying any and all of his works!)
