wow just listened to Ellie Goulding - Lights (bassnectar remix)

ive heard this song a million times and i swear, the LCD-3 despite not being bassy like my other headphones or the LCD-2, revealed texture and nuances in the bass that i've never heard before!!!

maybe the gsx helped as well

On my "new" (read: purchased used) HD800 and Lehmann Black Cube Linear.

Totally, totally different sound from my LCD2.2 and ALO Pan Am, but damn, it is SO fast. Just when i thought there's a lack of bass, a giant THWACK erupts from an eerie black background. quite pleasing indeed.

CombatPlayer - Dysfunctional Systems: Learning to Manage Chaos

I'm currently listening to the soundtrack for the first episode of a visual novel called Dysfunctional Systems developed by Dischan that has been available for iOS, PC, Mac and Linux since April but only recently came out on Steam. Every purchase from the official site or through Steam comes with the official soundtrack both in FLAC and 320kbps MP3. Most of the FLAC files are 24 bit and some 16 bit.

Danish Kristian Jensen aka CombatPlayer is an interesting composer being completely self taught without any kind of education in music. I think this is hardly a detriment for it makes his approach to music different and interesting. This still young 1990-born man's DAW of choice is FL Studio. I'm interested to hear his future contributions to the series as it progresses.

If you are not familiar with the developer, they also have an earlier highly acclaimed short kinetic novel called Juniper's Knot that is available for free for iOS, Windows, OS X, and Linux. The soundtrack is also being offered for free in FLAC and MP3. Here is the official website: http://junipersknot.dischan.org
