Enjoy!!! He has a real clean sound....I like to think of it as surgical - and at 28, he's already found his voice in jazz. Gerald comes from a musical family - his dad John has been a bassist and composer for 40+ years (he won a platinum record for arranging Whitney Houston's Super Bowl performance of the national anthem) and his uncle plays the sax. It doesn't hurt either that he's working with the best in the business as well as a number of the young, creative up-and-comers (Roy Hargrove, Terell Stafford, Ambrose Akinmusire, Terri Lyne Carrington, Ben Willams, Matt Slocum, etc...)
