I soldiered through it but man am I pissed about them changing the lyrics to 'girl'. JUST SING THE SONG.

EDIT: It's also very hard to (never thought I'd say this) beat the Limp Bizkit cover of this song.

WHY IS IT SO GOOD.

Hi Doug,
How do you rate the "Privateering" album?

Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul,
I love it. There isn't much that Mark Knopfler could do wrong though in my opinion. I was so psyched when I heard that this multiple disc was being released. I play guitar and always enjoy figuring out Mark Knopfler riffs and phrasing. I wanted to go see Knopfler and Dylan's concert locally, but it just didn't work out. I got the deluxe three disc edition. The first disc is the best part. "Redbud Tree," "Privateering," and "Go Love." are as good as anything that Knopfler has done post-Dire Straits. Disc two is good also, but seems like these songs might have been the "second string" choices. If this had been a single disc release I think that these songs would have been dropped or included on a future release. Don't get me wrong I like all of these songs as well. Bonus disc three is a collection of remixes...I love "Hill Farmer's Blues." I recommend "Privateering" highly, especially if you are a Mark Knopfler fan like me!

Nirvana's MTV Unplugged In New York.

Just wanted to listen to some good unplugged grunge, apart from Pearl Jam's and Alice In Chains's unplugged albums.

Asaf Avidan - The Reckoning Song
Angels And Airwaves - The Adventure
