I am listening to:

Brahms
The Sonatas for Violin and Piano:
No.1 in G, Op.78
No.2 in A, Op.100
No.3 in D minor, Op.108

Anthony Marwood (violin) & Aleksandar Madžar (piano)

I bought this CD a few months ago, actually prior to a month long holiday in Colombia. However I was so busy in Colombia I never got a chance to listen to it. Then I sort of forgot about this one. I to go to Ireland on New Year's Day and on the train and plane journey I checked out this recording on my iPod Touch. I was completely entranced by this music. I have been returning to it frequently and now that I am back at my house I'm now listening to it with the much better quality of my home system.

Brahms piano sonatas do entertain, but there is so much in them at the same time. They are elegant but also emotionally articulate.

Why shame? That show was fantastic.

After searching why was a vocaloid so famous everywhere I now understand the appeal of the whole Hatsune Miku thing. The fact that the users are the ones that create the artist is a very interesting phenomenon (and she doesn't have children, doesn't do drugs, or has sex scandals, at that); I still find those concerts and the fact that so many people cheer when the hologram starts projecting disturbing...but shame because that song has some of the most shallow and annoying lyrics I've ever listened to! but oh man, it has such a catchy tune. Damn you, guilty pleasures.
