Nick Drake was a very special artist.
Sad that his talent wasn’t really appreciated until after his premature death.
John Martyn’s brilliant song ‘Solid Air’ is about Nick Drake.
John knew he was a troubled soul.
An old friend knew Nick and John.
I saw John Martyn live many many times, but sadly I didn’t see Nick Drake.

The song/ video you posted is included on Mayer’s live album Try ! which was recorded at Avatar, NY in 2005. The video is most likely from that concert. One of the best live albums I’ve listened to & I’m not fussy about live recordings in general. Thanks for this Roy G. Biv., I’ll look into it (DVD).

P.S./ Edit : I just looked up Pino Palladino. Dude is 6’8” besides being a superb bass player.
