Haven't had enough ROCK this week, and you guys are putting me to sleep, SO LET'S GO!

The Firm (album) - Wikipedia

A supergroup if there ever was one. Dealing with the demise of their respective bands in the early '80s Page and Rodgers formed this group with Chris Slade on drums, and Tony Franklin on that KILLER fretless bass. Page's antics need no describing, while Rodgers, one of the best rock voices of all time, brought the soulfulness. Slade and Franklin bring on the excellent bottom end. Never meant to last more than two albums, these guys left behind a hefty, indelible moment in Rock history, that I never tire of. Play it again!!

Jailbreak was Thin Lizzy's commercial breakthrough and no doubt an excellent album that I love to pieces. However, 7 years later brought Thunder and Lightning, my personal favorite from the band. What do you get? A hard driving rock album from the opening note to the last. Again, for my tastes, I think this album was a little more cohesive front to back, and man, it never lets up. Jailbreak was the commercial success of the run, but remove the song breaks on Thunder and Lightning and you will get the Cold, Cold, Sweats. For sure. Thanks Phil!
