After a long deliberation and a longer shipping wait, the most expensive CD I've ever bought is here. And boy, was it worth it. I was afraid that a live show from Elbow might be undermined by pre-recorded strings and brass, but instead the arrangements are live and each unique sound in every song is recreated faithfully in a way that you might not think possible given how creative Elbow are in the studio. Guy Garvey has an immense amount of respect for the observatory at which the concert takes place, is as friendly as he could possibly be with the crowd, and his voice soars just as smoothly as in any studio album the band has made. Each some comes across even more impressive than its original version, reaching new peaks, and the drama of the setting and the music comes through both on the CDs and DVD included in the package. I missed all of Elbow's few U.S. shows last year, but this has almost entirely made up for it. The price for this import was $35 on Amazon, but it was worth every penny. This is definitely the best live album I own, and one of the best albums in general I've ever come across.
Old wave / Ringo Starr & Joe Walsh, 1983. IMHO a very much underrated album especially when you listen to it with HD600 & Fisher 500C. Especially love the track "I keep forgetting".
