I'd like to get your info on this, about full sized, circumaural "open" or "semi- open" cans that you've actually tried or own. I'm talking about the ear opening size and depth. I have average size ears, but I hate when the driver or pads touch my ears. I just received the Panasonic HTF600 a couple days ago, and the ear space is smaller than I expected. I also plan to try the new Superlux HD681 EVO when it comes out in early March, but I'm looking for more options. Thanks.

Biggest ones I've tried...
AKG K701, Q701, K550, K240 (Superlux HD681 should be almost identical ear-space to the K240)
Beyerdynamic DT990, DT880, DT770
Sennheiser HD800

I actually think that the ear space of the K550 is rather small. It is wide, but not very deep.
Maybe you can take a look at the Hifimans, because the ear space on my He500 is definitely NOT small

Steelseries 4H. Really large ear space, but 4H's sound signature is - for me - exclusive for gaming. Maybe you can try installing other drivers on them.
