I could agree that 60(source)-30(amp)-10(cables&co) schema works good. Not that my system has matured that much so I could extract into those figures.
It's currently:
Source €150 (41%)
Amp €200 (54%)
Cables €20 (5%)
Transducers are bit trickier to budget in, IMO they can be separated away from this classification. After upgrading my soundcard (as a source) I joined the source-first group
