Genesis Selling England By The Pound
Neil Young Harvest
Peter Frampton Frampton Comes Alive
Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here
Simon and Garfunkel Bridge Over Troubled Waters
An impossible choice, but here's five:
Let's take it to the stage - Funkadelic '75
Gris-gris - Dr. JOHN, the night tripper '68
Headhunters - herbie hancock '73
Catch a Fire - Bob Marley and the wailers '73
Live Wire/Blues Power - Albert King '68
And +1 for: Getz/Gilberto - Stan Getz, Joao Gilberto feat. Antonio Carlos Jobim. '63
1973 is my favorite year musically and sound wise.
Baldr how would you listen to your music on a deserted Island if you could bring only one (single source) stereo system. (Guessing we are not overly concerned about the practicalities in this whole scenario)
BeethovenHammerklavier or the Op.111 sonata BachCello suites OR Art of fugue This Mortal CoilIt'll end in tears OR Filigree & Shadow OR Cocteau TwinsTreasure Pink FloydWish you were here Led ZeppelinPresence OR Physical Graffiti Eberhard WeberLittle movements
Sorry about the cheats: 7 artists and alternative albums/works for most
But, another day, another list. So many other completely different artists/albums/works
I already hate this island! Only 5? Impossible! Every album I think of beggs for at least 4 others to come along.
But at this moment I guess it could be:
1. Staring at the sea - The Cure
2. Pod - The Breeders
3. Dubnobasswithyourheadman - Underworld
4. Sonic Youth - Goo
5. Ain`t it dead yet - Skinny puppy
This feels so wrong...so many great albums will act all offended when I put them on now.
My cremation is going to last at least 4 days because everyone has to sit there and listen to my last playlist!
edit:
...see, now I will have this nagging feeling I need to edit this all day!
Absolute horror.
Hard to narrow it down to five discs, but here are my choices.... this week!
R.E.M - Reckoning
The Beatles - Rubber Soul (U.K.)
Fairport Convention - What we did on our holidays
Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left
Mantra Vega - The Illusions Reckong. ( My favourite album of this decade)
Peter Rowan- Dharma Blues
Yes- Tales From Topographic Oceans (The Steven Wilson ReMix)
Gong- You
Ry Cooder & VM Bhatt- A Meeting By The River
Grateful Dead- Winterland 1973 Box Set (OK, it's 10 CD's, but it's a single release).
The ABBA is obvious. The BoneyM I already knew...but the Andre Rieu is why I would opt for a diffenrent island
They played his wiener concerto every day in my grandmas old-people-container.

Poor man! It is the longest DVD in the world. Was it the one with the castle backdrop?
I can honestly say that it will get easier after the first 4 or 5 times. But the pain remains.
