As long as the Transport is silver, I’m good! I am just curious what @Baldr meant when he was mentioning bit switching. I think that’s what he said... I’m also curious about the final cost. I know Jason mentioned it would probably 300-500 but it seems that since then the price has gone up. I just can’t wait to get my hands on one!!!!

No he didn't. It will probably more in the line of 700 (US dollars)

Re coffee: And about the coffee? You should see the coffee forums. It's much much worse there.

My mistake, it was Mr. Moffat. And I think all of us who have shopped for a Transport expect it to be in the 1K or less range. I’ve got my money ready...

Product candidate number 1 is a CD transport. It has been built as an alpha. It works and sounds fine - I feel content with respect to its performance. It should be a $300 to $500 product.

My daughter is reading Wagner Without Fear. Is that even possible?

I fear that any Wagner in the transport will make it explode....

You just did a 20 mile ride in California? Isn't that the equivalent of smoking 500 cigarettes or something right now?
Bay Area has been pretty nice for the last 3 days, AQI in the teens-tweens. Starting to get smoky again from the gigantic August Complex Fire with a shift to a stiff NE breeze, current AQI 34 where I am. I'm guessing it will go > 50 tomorrow, > 100 North of SF. Went for a 7 mile hike in the hills this afternoon, first time since the CZU Fire Complex mid-August, nice air but there was an obvious smoke layer rising North and East.

Now we have learned that the transport will use a drawer to hold the Sacred Silver Discs. I would expect pages of commentary to follow this revelation! Endless speculation on the source of the mechanism, or the High Mathematical Arts that Ivana is building into the computer control system.

Note: The Transport will not roast or grind coffee beans, nor will it brew or dispense coffee.

Please post a link where Jason or Mike state this. It is unfounded specualtion like this that creates unnecessary confusion and frustration. 😒
