In my review I felt the D10 was like a Predator clone with the Pico's DAC, which is why I ranked it #1 in DAC/amps. The P-51 with Pico DAC-only (or other very good DAC like D10) will be a small but noticeable upgrade. (my DAC-only is not here yet)

The D10 with AD743 opamps and AD8616 in the buffers is very similar/close to the P-51, but there is some hiss with the AD743 and ES3X that the P-51 doesn't have. I will usually either use a volume attenuator with the D10/AD743 or feed my D10 into my P-51 for my ES3X.

I'm highly jealous of the smoke black in the thread somewhere but since it's not a standard color and didn't want to beg Westone I opted for the emerald green.

Wow Thanks a lot man!! I've seen all of those, but u definitely put the icing on cake for combining the links. I've noticed that the candy blue and translucent blue are both "see through." Other than dark red and i guess dark purple, are most of the colors somewhat transparent? I'm feeling those blues, but that neon green is pretty fly too. I have all night to sleep on it i guess....

You should do a color or design that hasn't been done before.

I was thinking the same thing, but then again, I don't want to go Hot Neon Pink and be grossed out by it's gayness. I like blue, like a royal blue, so I'm leaning towards that as of now, but we shall see.

The photo on the first link was taken by me in bright direct daylight. I think the photo on the 3rd link is actually the same colour (Candy Blue), but just taken with different lighting. My ES3X often look like photo on third link when I'm indoors -- See HPA's photos in the middle of this post, http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/w...ml#post5432706, where there are different shades of green depending on flash/ lighting use.

a friend of mine said he can hear sibilance..a mild one...in his ES3X.
