AGPtek is sending me quite a few DAPs for review and I will show them at the meet.

Some of these are quite interesting for design and audio quality.

The H3 is a personal favorite of mine and directly comparable to Fiio's X3. The revised ROCKER is now a direct collaboration with Rockbox player software while retaining the original Hiby player implementation. The others are designed to be especially lightweight and compact for travellers, commuters and students. Some have high resolution recording capability though the best quality will require a good external mic.

I will be happy to give these away to any meet attendees that would like to do a critical audition and then post their review on Head-Fi.

The Rega Apollo is gone, But the HD800Ss (at $900) are still looking for a home.

In the unlikely event that anyone is interested in 2-channel hardware, I also have a Conrad-Johnson Premier 18LS in excellent condition for $1200

Once again, let me know if you are interested if possible.

I would definitely love to hear the 800S tomorrow!

Also, for what it's worth, I will have AKG K7XXs in good but used shape for $120. I am also planning to bring a WASD Code mechanical keyboard that I've been trying to sell locally to no avail, figure there might be a little bit of "hobby crossover" there but definitely let me know in this thread if anyone is specifically interested in mech stuff!

I'll bring XLR cables, would I need anything else?

Nope xlr or rca. See you today.
We've not been to this library - looks like a good setup space, but can never tell. Power cables (specifically long power cables) are always handy. And don't forget your power strip.

Meet rules (just as applicable to a small gathering, as much as to the big event next month):
  1. Please treat fellow head-fiers and their gear with the utmost care and respect.
  2. Please don't unplug headphones without asking permission from the owners first.
  3. Please don't turn anything on or off without asking permission first.
  4. Please don't move anyone's gear from their established area without asking permission.
  5. Absolutely no food and drink will be allowed near any equipment including your own.
  6. Please have courtesy and ensure that your hands are CLEAN before handling others' equipment.
  7. Be mindful of the time you are spending listening to others’ gear especially if there are others waiting in line.
  8. Be mindful of personal hygiene. DO NOT use hair gel or other product that may damage or stain a headband or earpads.
See a few of you at 1:00pm (735 South 18th Street, Arlington, VA - Eads Room)

Great venue - I agree! Hope that parking was not difficult for anyone. Now time for the real meet!
