Quick question, which is better in terms of overall sound quality, soundstage layering and depth, clarity and resolution, Walnut V2S or Zeshan Z1, I am gonno use it with my LZ A4 and monk plus and with my laptop and smartphone or standalone.

Please excuse me, as I am new to opamps. May I ask for ali/ebay seller that sells legit ICs? I have read reviews from a certain store stating it was good, but then other reviews says it is fake.

I got my V2S today. Burning in now. It came with a terrific carrying case and usb & mini audio cables. The only negative is: Chinese Voice Prompts.

Based on what I have heard, I rate it better than Xduoo X2 and not as good as Xduoo X3. But it is close to X3, only the sound of X3 is more refined.

So, partly (implied) based on your statement, or let's set those aside, using walnut to amp FiiO X1 is a mismatch?

I have no Fiio X1. Based on my knowledge on X1, It might not have a better sound than V2s.

I have no Fiio X1. Based on my knowledge on X1, It might not have a better sound than V2s.

So I think it is safe to get the V2s.

I am more interested now in getting to know its DAC capability, since it is capable in other functions.


On the other hand, on my amp shortlist, I have:
- V2s
- Bluebird u3.6
- Bluebird 6+
- Auglar gr-1
- Zishan Z1 (waiting for more reviews and comparison)
But, I haven't heard anything about the bluebird amps (specifically u3.6 and 6+) anymore, most likely they were covered with these new entrants, and people have forgotten them. I love the build quality of those.

If you can buy from Taobao, it's much cheaper than Ali. But even from Ali, it still has very great value.

Chinese Voice Prompts . This could be just some wav's. Can you check in the computer if you can find the Chinese sounds in the internal storage. If it's like that, it's possible to swap the files .
