  We try :innocent:

(You should use an IC remover, i'm lazy and even my fingers which are not particularly fat have trouble getting a good grip on the opamp. I use pliers sometimes, but this is bad practice and you shouldn't do it)

I'm scandalized! Fingers and pliers. OH MY!

Not that it answers your question, when I looked on ebay there were a bunch that looked like silverre's adapter in that picture.  They all had a 2nd AD825 mounted on the bottom of that adapter to create a dual to mono.

These are the AD825 units I got for what it's worth

silverre yeah yours is fine, the adapter legs and spacers take up more room so it'll be taller for sure.

The pics can be deceiving but the dip-8 male socket pins show that the pcb board is about the normal Walnut receiver socket size, and if a Burson thing can fit, then these  types will no problemo.
It's the double wide ones on the pcb that seem to  go the wrong way and will bump things.
( like 2 regular sized  dip-8 opamps on an adapter= these smaller soic ones are tiny )

I did try to see about fitting a fully discrete opamp dip-8 unit in here like one of the Sparkos but from what I could tell it was larger than the Bursons and would not fit ( it would hit the pushbutton shafts badly )
I was so crazy about it I took the burson pictures and  then their measurements, and blew up a picture to life-size on the screen to see if the larger Sparkos thing would fit using a flexible measuring tape LOL.

^so yeah it'll work it is the same size as the LME49990 unit I tried out.

jeeze I don't know. Mouser sells them for lots, and mouser is usually reasonably priced, that I know of anyhow from other things .  I'd be nervous how they can get them that cheapo.

Maybe they are pulls from older electronics. Maybe

I have a Sparkos coming in tomorrow or tuesday that I am going to use in my desktop amp.  I had zero hope it would fit in the walnut but who knows.  I'll see if it would fit before I stick it in my desktop amp.

Hi all. First time posting! Was a long time lurker but getting a walnut v2 made me want to create an account.

I'm very happy that I bought this tiny wonderful thing. I've been reading the thread and got excited about op amps and rolling and bought the muses 01 and muses 02. I have a question about the AD825 amps can I get them already soldered on those board things? The only ones I see in Aliexpress are just the chips themselves not connected to anything.

Also Silverre I believe you got yours in correctly the semi-circle on the chip should align with the semi-circle on the board.

muses01 and 02 are not only some of the most often faked opamps out there, i don't think they're really all that amazing. gimme a ne5532 anyday....
