Yep, my brother-in-law is CEO of his company branch in China, he is return home next week - nothing to do during Chinese New Year, Shenzhen must be empty!

It also depends, how much burn in is done on your walnut.
After 100 hours burn in, almost all noise/pop ups vanished from my walnut.

Some people have reported loose usb connectors, usually a solder joint not strong enough to handle the force of cable plug in, removal, you get the point
 
Probably partly due to a sudden surge in interest made QC be a little worse than it was...?
 
If you have a soldering iron, i would - after disconnecting & putting battery somewhere else - touch up the solder joints that hold the usb plug in place.

Using as an amp from my Hidizs AP60 today, mostly cos my VE interconnect cable came. Does the cable improve the sound? Who cares, it looks pretty :-D

I discovered that Raytheon make a low noise version of NE5532, it's called RA3678C, I ordered to see if it sounds any different. It's a bit more expensive than NE5532 but still cheap at $2-3.
