my guess is he picked up the pair skylab recently sold. i think there is better out there for the money but definitely a nice phone.

Who knows man. The L3000 sure has a lot of bass alright -- it's tight and defined but the bass was overpowering and not very realistic sounding IMO. Also, I much preferred the W11jpn's midrange and tone over the L3000s. Imo, the L3000s are massively overpriced for the sound they provide.
